Gemini is Google's suite of generative AI tools, which ranges from chatbots to coding assistants. Apple could launch the iOS 18 — its latest operating system for the iPhone — at its Worldwide Developer's Conference in June. Apple also recently held discussions with OpenAI and has considered using its model, according to the people cited by Bloomberg. However, the report said "the two parties haven't decided the terms or branding of an AI agreement or finalized how it would be implemented."

Privately held companies have been left to develop AI technology at breakneck speed, giving rise to systems like Microsoft-backed OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard. Last year, 58% of people responded to IE University's study saying they think that AI should be regulated. Standing out from the rest of Europe, Estonia is the only country where this view decreased — by 23% — from last year. Generally, though, the majority of people in Europe are favorable of governments regulating AI to stem the risk of job losses. It comes as governments around the world are working on regulation for AI algorithms.

The gold in floor is Biles’ 23rd world championship gold medal and was her second of the day, having won the beam competition in Antwerp, Belgium. The law, known as the European AI Act, is the first law for AI systems in the West. The AI Act categorizes applications of AI into four levels of risk: unacceptable risk, high risk, limited risk and minimal or no risk. But AI technology has been around for years and is integrated into more applications and systems than you might think. "The European Commission's original proposal for the AI Act takes a risk-based approach, regulating specific AI systems that pose a clear risk," de Champris added. "MEPs have now introduced all kinds of amendments that change the very nature of the AI Act, which now assumes that very broad categories of AI are inherently dangerous."

From a portfolio management perspective" — found that ChatGPT's ability to choose from a set of assets outperformed random selection on measures of risk-adjusted return and diversification. "Additionally, professional portfolio managers can improve their productivity by focusing on more important tasks while being assisted by ChatGPT in the selection of diverse assets for a given portfolio." Then, the researchers ran 10,000 simulations asking ChatGPT to select a various number of the available assets to create a portfolio. A backtest of the data showed that ChatGPT's selections created a more diversified portfolio with less correlated assets than random selection. And then, over the period of Jan. 1, 2022 to Jan. 31, 2023, the ChatGPT portfolios also outperformed the random selection portfolios on a risk-adjusted basis.
